Our Story
Taps, Corks & Nosh.
Owners Cheryl and Sean McGlynn relocated to Winsted in 2016. Cheryl, a lawyer by profession, and Sean, a registered nurse, fell in love with Winsted and decided to invest in it by creating and running 2nd Home! The concept of 2nd Home is to provide a place to come and relax with friends over a good beer or glass of wine, while enjoying some light and interesting food. Hence, “Taps, Corks, and Nosh”. Instead of the usual cocktail tables and chairs, there are couches and comfortable chairs to relax in, books to read and take with you, and games to play. They have also connected with local artists to display and sell their art at the lounge as a way to support that important aspect of the community.
2nd Home’s unique, eclectic, and intimate environment offers its customers a comfortable and welcoming place with good food, drinks, live music and company. Come join us at your 2nd Home!

Flatbreads
Prosciutto, Fig, & Ricotta – ricotta, prosciutto, mozzarella, fig spread, arugula, and honey.
Peach & Prosciutto Flatbread – Prosciutto, ricotta, mozzarella, asiago, peaches, arugula, and honey balsamic reduction.
Pesto Caprese Flatbread – pesto, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and mozzarella, sprinkled with fresh basil, and balsamic glaze.
Margarita Flatbread – Crushed tomatoes with basil, mozzarella, and fresh basil
Burritos and Wraps
Chicken & Avocado Burrito – chicken, avocado, Monterey Jack, salsa verde, jalapeños, sour cream, and cilantro.
Thai Chicken Wrap – Chicken, Pepper Jack, red cabbage, scallions, red pepper, cilantro, with a honey sriracha aioli.
Panzerotti
Ham – ham, Swiss cheese, tomato, and rosemary, baked in a dough shell,
Sausage – sausage, asiago cheese, roasted peppers, and onions, baked in a dough shell.
Corned beef – corned beef, cabbage, carrots, Swiss cheese, and rosemary, baked in a dough shell.
